6.      What security measures does an operating system provide to a computer?

Ans Operating System provides antivirus protection against malicious attacks and has inbuilt firewall which acts as a filter to check the type of traffic entering into the system.

 

7.      Explain the directory structure of DOS with the help of an example.

Ans A directory is just like a File Folder which contains all logical related files. DOS files are arranged in a hierarchal. The files are further divided into Directories and Sub – Directories.
